We're a people-powered campaign. Without our amazing, brilliant, creative, dedicated,
enthusiastic, fantastic volunteers, we wouldn't be able to do what we do every day.
There are all sorts of volunteer opportunities available. Don't like talking on the phone?
We've got a lot of mail to get out the door. Like being around people?
We need help setting up and staffing events. Busy? We can sympathize.
But it only takes a couple hours to make a big difference.

There was a time when I bought most of my beans from a place that imported them
and roasted them, and they were the best I've ever had. However, I discovered some
interesting things about them: the Kona, which I'd just paid $20.00 a pound for, tasted a
lot better if I used one scoop of Kroger Colombian ($3.99 per pound) per four scoops of the
expensive stuff. That cheap coffee actually improved the flavor of the Kona.

The Kurdish regional government in Sulaimaniya oversees the Reconstruction and
Development Agency, an office which has drawn up a long list of infrastructure needs
and is now matching them with local government and international donor funds.
About $700 million worth of projects have started in the past year, with a
South Korean contractor building the hospital, and Iranian and Chinese
groups contracted to work on tunnels, roads and bridges.
In five years' time, Sulaimaniya will look very different.
